Did anyone get MHTFR DNA analysis done for the child? If yes, what does below statement mean? This individual is heterozygous for MTHFR A1298C (One copy). The MTHFR C677T variant not identified. I researched this and it seems single mutation is very common and there are no issues.Any thoughts?

My son is non-verbal, struggles with self-injuring himself and others, chronic constipation, and if he's not constipated, he usually has diarrhea. I've recently been looking into starting him on a special diet because I've heard it can help some children with behavior and improve speech. Has anyone`s child had positive results? Negative? Is it worth the change? Should I have him tested for gluten or casein sensitivity? I'm an open book!
