Hi all, please help to advise any good ABA provider for my daughter 20 months old. She was diagnosed with ASD lately.
Our Insurance is blueshield Silver 70 PPO. Thank you very much.

Hi likeselephant, thanks so much for your advice. I did not even think about what to ask them until i see yours. Those are so helpful. Thanks again.

To be more truthful here, the first couple I called I had no idea what to ask, but just started talking to them about my child's situation.

I do not have Blue Shield, but I found it it very helpful to call all the providers on my approved provider list, which was ten. Some didn't return my call for a week or two and some had waitlists. I asked each one what services they offered, told them my child's age and diagnosis, asked about typical results they see, how many hours a week they would recommend for my child, how many they thought they could get approved by insurance, whether they offered services in a clinic or only at home or combo of daycare and home. One I even said "I am considering provider X. What makes you better than them? Tell me why I should choose you over them?" I found this legwork to be the best investment of my journey so far. The ABA therapists will be spending the most amount of time with your child so choose them carefully!
