I don't know if this helps any but I live in CA and the state had a program called "In Home Support Services" and its for any child or adult that is "disabled" or had some sort of disability that keeps them from having "normal jobs, life etc" maybe you can look or google something in your state- so a little about the program is the state pays a "worker" to come in and take care of the person in need to do laundry cook bathe etc and the hours depend on the need so a social worker comes in and evaluated the need, sets and allotted amount of hours and the worker gets minimum wage of course but it doesn't effect your child's social security and it helps me at the same time be a stay at home mom to my son - I'm really greatful for this program and I know my son loves having me at home as well - I really hope this is offered in your state as well- or maybe you can get ahold of your child's county worker for their ssi and see if they know anything about it;) hope that helps some
Wow..that's a lot on your plate!! How responsible is your teenager? You might have to explain he/she will have to help out weekends, bus time, and generally be available to pitch in.I think if you could find a responsible roommate( if your landlord will allow)to help with childcare in place of rent. Also,I don't know your area's job market or your skill set but if at any way possible maybe a more set job would be in everyone's best interest.Best of luck& I'm rooting for your family's well being!!
