Any Hints To Progress In Mathematics
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a verbal autistic daughter. She's in first grade in a regular school and she is visiting it with an assistant to support her. The main problems are in mathematics. We're trying since months to progress on simple addition/subtraction. Any hints based on your experience?

I used Math Blaster which is an online computer game for math skills. It's a space mission and very fun and engaging.

My daughter has an amazing memory, so us and the school use that to our advantage with math. She would study one number like +3's all week, I would quiz her and if she got them all right we would move on. She's in 3rd grade now, moving on to multiplication and division and I'm doing it the same way. So, if your child has a good memory this could be a good method.
