My son is 3 years old and have chosen so far not to send him to preschool. We feel that his home ABA and speech therapy 25+ hours a week is fine for him. I was wondering if anyone thinks that it wouldn't just be enough or he could benefit from a prescool setting? He gets one on one now and the idea of sending him to setting where he wouldn't doesn't seem logic, but maybe I'm missing something. Thanks in advance.

She has been doing ABA three days a week right now and will be bumping up to 5 days a week, 2 hours a day and also speech and OT. I'm looking for guidance and advice, hopefully from parents who've been in similar situations. My son is 5 1/2 and delayed in most areas in education. Hi all! I have a three year old and am considering immersing her in ABA "full time" with our amazing ABA provider. She currently receives 12.5 hours of aba at home and goes to a special ed preschool. Might put her in a private preschool to get these extra hours. For those of you that have immersed a child this young in ABA, what has worked for you?

I really just want to explore ALL the options available to my children. My oldest son not being able to tell me if someone is hurting him or mistreating him is very worrisome. Every other day there's another heartbreaking story. I'm just tired of our children being abused. At this day and time, I am not concerned that either of my boys are being mistreated, just wanted to let you guys know :-)

Davis is 7 yrs old who was finally diagnosed this month. The hospital said they were going to refer him to a therapist nearby. Just wanted a little more insight or experience on it.

My daughter is 3 years and 5 months now . All started when the speech therapist suggested on Mother’s Day /2017 that I take sofia for an evaluation since she had a significant delay . She was non verbal . I took her for an evaluation on June/2017 the doctor told me to bring her back in August and then asked me again to bring her back on November/2017 for a final diagnosis . First IEP meeting for my almost three year old, semi verbal-echolalic toddler, (diagnosed as PDD NOS) is 6 days away....any suggestions? Ideas? Questions we should be equipped with? How much speech is standard? OT? We moved to a very, very good school district to get best services, what would ideal services look like to you?

If so, what are their programs like for children diagnosed with ASD? Are you happy with their programs? Are there classes that are integrated with gen Ed? i know their schools are highly ranked for gen Ed but I can't find any info on their special Ed.
