I Can Not Get A Decent Picture.. Help;
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son is 5 ,non verbal, on the spectrum, Super cute ...and will not hold still for a picture.I most of our pics are the back of his head because he runs off so fast...sometimes I just snap pics over and over ,then go through them and hope I got a good one.I don't have any selfies of him and I ..he has no interest on taking a pic with me or for me :( I wish we had some memory pics of mommy / son

He has to slow down for something. Get a of photo while he's looking at something. I have held my daughter's head to get her pointed to the camera. This a another common issue that non-ASD parents don't get.

Exactly freeyoke!
My son is always on the move too! I only sometimes can get him to slow down when it's "something" he highly desires or is deeply interested in. It doesn't always work but it's what I tried out of desperation. My son was diagnosed a year ago at 3 so I am still new to all of this. That's why I joined this site, for support from other families going through what we are. I am always open to new advice and suggestions, whatever it takes for my boy. And I am always grateful when someone takes the time out to help me, even if that "something" doesn't work for me. We have to stick together!

He freaks out with strangers, won't hold still to take a pictures... But he does like mirrors, thinking if I turn the camara around to face him ..maybe he will take the pick for me lol
