Where do you live in Pa.?
Why was your child not on a special needs bus? The drivers on the regular school buses are not trained for kids with special needs so they would not know how to handle such a situation. Also those buses are not set up for a child with autism or emotional support needs. Too crowded and too much input with no guidance or explanation of expectations.
All schools here have special needs buses with aides so the kids are helped. They have some level of training and understanding. Most of the employees on these buses have some personal experience with kids with special needs. It is also necessary to get the care needed written into the IEP.
It sounds like your child needs an aide for the bus. Pa. has that service.

do you have a local mp? i went to the mp to get diagnois of my 8 yr old child as i was being ignored by his father the school and had a horrible time with rude nebors and comments off some family members and even so called friends so i took matters into my own hands and told the mp he helped me get an ados and diagnosis
I’ve been considering going to the media, just to put pressure on the school district and make other parents aware of how things really are around here... I don’t know if it would help my son though. Any opinions?
