Has Anyone Had Experience Using Strattera (atomoxetine) For Focus And Mood Stabilization In Your ASD Teen?

My son was in his early 20s when he went on this medication. He was on it less than three months. It helped him get through an overwhelming time. The talk therapy was paramount, however. He is doing fine now. Glitches happen, we just have to stay vigilant and get help immediately. I was hesitant to have him go on meds but it did help him. I cannot stress how important his psychologist was during this time. We dodged a potential setback by getting him help right away. Any sign of problems, don’t hesitate to seek help.

My son went on it briefly but not in his teen years. It was the safest medication for him since he’s had a hisof seizures. He was only on it a few months. University life got a bit overwhelming and we sought counseling and medical help, which were hugely successful. He’s fine now and back in school (Mid-Junior Year). Everyone gets overwhelmed and this medicine and talk therapy were paramount. I’m releaved he did not stay on it very long, however. His mental balance is so fragile and pristine, as most people in the spectrum.
