I just wanted to say that you and I are in the exact same boat. I recently retired and I was working part-time. My son in also 4 1/2. I just stopped working because of school, and appointments. I completely understand where you are coming from. Where are you guys located? What I do no is, your son should be eligible for transportation, if he has an IEP. So the district should pick up and drop off. My dilemma was the after school care. My hours didn't fit. There was no leeway with mine but maybe you can see if there is any with yours. Maybe your wife can ensure he gets on transport and you can be there to get him. It's soo tough!
