Does anyone have their child on a gluten free diet? If so, what are some different foods are you trying? Have anyone heard of stem cells for autism
We have been doing Gluten free for the past few months. I think it has made a little bit of improvement in her sensory issues and she has done a pretty good job of transitioning. There are so many options for gluten free diets. We started but just switching out things that she normally eats now with GF versions. She loves rice crackers with cheese and pepperoni. We do a lot of rice, GF pasta ( I prefer the brown rice pasta over the corn pasta), salads, and potatoes. Trader joes has a lot of options. It's pretty easy to avoid gluten once you get used to it. There is a book called "The Healthy Make-Ahead cookbook" by Robin Donovan. It's not all gluten free, but most of it is and the recipes are wonderful!
Hope this helps!
I found some gluten free breads that my son likes them. There are some rice breads but arent soft so he doesn't like them. I got them from trader joes. Also replace milk with almond milk and cocoa almond milk.
There are some cheeses made of almond and I also use goat cheese and milk because the casein in goat milk is different and not bad. I checked with Gastroenterologist too.
He eats meat and fruits too. I think his diet is healthier now and I am Happy that tried that. He was a milk lover so first I thought it is hard for him but goat milk is a good one.
