Airplane Rides
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Is there a training program for children with autism who seems to have difficulty getting on board airplanes in New York City or in the tri-state area? We have tried to get him on board and ended up not being able to go because he did not want to get in. He’s 16 y/o and we are planning to travel to Asia hopefully. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations?

Thank you. So it’s is really recommended to take a medication then? I was actually also wondering if there is like a training program for kids/teens with autism to ride a plane. Like for them to practice getting the cabin, in sitting down and buckling up without really the plane leaving.

Have you tried getting him a day accruing noon narcotic anti Anxiety need like Vistaril for example? I suffer with sever anxiety (almost got detained by TSA my last having an "episode") and don't fly well. This is one of the solution to my problem.
