Our regular family doctor was away, so we saw a visiting relief doctor who recommended MCT oil, he said he regularly recommends it to elderly patients approaching Alzheimer’s. He claimed some studies showed it greatly helped with Autism (although not enough studies to back this up), and that there were little to no side effects. I have been researching it online, but interested to hear any firsthand experiences. Thanks!

Hi @A MyAutismTeam Member, it’s a common oil found in health food shops, derived (& cleaned up) from coconuts. I’ve started taking it & gradually introducing it to my guy, at a very low dose. For me, it does seem to sharpen concentration & mental energy, but not sure whether it’s psychosomatic. 😂 I can’t really tell a difference in him yet. But will keep you updated.
Oh I love coconut oil or anything to do with coconuts. I buy a tub of organic and use it to tame flyaway hairs, cuticle moisturiser, I eat a spoonfool often because its an anti fungal, has healthy fats and if you (anyone new to it) google it, around 20 properties. You can cook with it too!
