I don't know if any of what I am going to tell you will help or not... but we dealt with this when my daughter was younger. I think she was around the age of 7. She wasn't sleeping well, and kept trying to get in bed with us. It was a nightmare. We got a chair bed, which is basically a chair that opens out into a bed. We put it next to her bed, and one of us would lie next to her ...at least for a while. We kept moving it farther and farther away from her bed, and eventually phased it out. We got to the point where we no longer had to use it, and she slept in her bed. We gave her Melatonin even at that age ...which didn't always help. For the past couple of yrs. we have been giving her Trazodone, prescribed by a Sleep specialist. It has really helped.

Let her pick out her own new bed and make it a big deal. That's might help. I'll cross my fingers for you
