Just curious. Our son used to be very violent to the extent where I would have to hold him down and restrain him for 30 minutes at a time until he calmed down and stopped trying to injure himself or his sister. We got an eliptical and everytime he became too agitated/violent we made him do 30 minutes on the eliptical. At first it was 3 hours throughout each day. He was too tired to act out. That is wonderful! I use to make my extreme ADHD son mountain bike with me before school, and his teachers stopped complaining about him and his grades went up. LOL!
Swimming helps my youngest. He needs the pressure. If you notice he is very happy surrounded by water, it could be he has similar needs. Can also try a therapressure brush on his arms and legs.
If he goes to OT this is a great question for them. If he doesn't it can be very helpful.
Hi wranglerdavis, good for you, glad things are well for your son, sounds like that's the key. I wouldn't be surprised that that's the reason my son hasn't been harmful to others, he's always been active in sports. Our kids are such amazing creatures!

My daughter had been on guanfacine for 4 years but we also go to playgrounds and have her swing or go on nature hikes. Got to keep em busy.
