Angel Sense
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone ever heard of Angel Sense? If u have have u tried it? My son will be starting classes in September with BCIU/early intervention and im worried how he will do and how teachers will treat him. It has a tracker if ur kid goes missing and u can even listen in on conversation wherever they are. It snaps to clothing or backpack. Wanted to know if its worth getting for the price and is it really reliable. Its rated 5 star's. Let me know what u guys think.

Where Are Good Places For Therapy In Nashville, TN
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm am looking to relocate to the Nashville "area." I'm probably going to end up in Dickson Co, but don't mind to drive into Nashville or Franklin for services. I'm looking for suggestions for medical care across the board. I'll need to set my son up with a new pediatrician, OT, SLP, and hopefully ABA. Any suggestions on where to get these services would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My son is also going on 24 yrs. and is high functioning. Does your daughter use the internet or know how to text? Maybe they can be pen pals and share interests. 😊

Does Anyone Have Any Advise On How To Teach An Autistic 6 Yr Old Volume Control?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son does not understand when or how to be quiet. I understand that this is a normal problem for most children however my son likes to be overly loud during times when I ask him to be quiet. He seems to think its funny and his teacher is getting upset with him during the morning moment of silence. Does anyone have a more affective method of getting him to be quiet? Im sure lots of you have or had this problem yourselves.

This is really loaded. There are many ways to encourage a child who doesn't understand the need to moderate their voice in different situations. I have seen and used verbal, visual, and physical cues… read more

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone! I wanted to ask everyone a question. My 25 yr old son is non-verbal on the spectrum and very very nervous when it comes to doctors and dentists. He is scheduled for sedation in order to get a regular dental cleaning and checkup. He was younger , maybe 17 or 18 when he last had his wisdom teeth taken out under sedation and he did well.

He went his regular doctor, but would not let them do anything, but listen to his heart and lungs and look into his mouth. He wouldn't even let them… read more
