My grandson is 5 years old and was diagnosed as high functioning when he was 3. Since then, his ASD has changed and somewhat progressed. My son has been on Zoloft for over 12 months now, it has really helped with his anxiety, we didn’t have the bathroom issues but he would chant for hours after returning home from school. This behaviour has ceased.

Yes, for sure! My daughter is trying other alternatives for right now to see if she can get his bathroom situation calmed down a little without meds. The negative just seems to far outweigh the positive, unfortunately, the anxiety in our babies is also painful.

My son, 8, also has anxiety issues for which his ped recently prescribed Zoloft. I'm alittle nervous about starting him on it.

I know, it was very surprising especially when this is just the first time she had even talked to her doctor about it. It seems like there would be other methods or natural remedies to try before meds.
