I have a REALLY big problem with my autistic son being mean or even violent to his younger brother. I've tried time-out, but he won't stay in it. He's too strong for me to restrain him in time-out. What should I do?

I am a psychologist in Santiago, Chile. The family has been given this resource to address extreme tantrums and frustration tolerance issues. The center seems very expensive. Their own testimonials give positive reviews. I an wondering whether anyone has gone through their behavioral training for individuals and families and what your experience was like?

I would love to hear your experiences with medication, especially in the treatment of anxiety, anger, and explosive behaviors.
My youngest son is currently experiencing some marked behavior issues that we didn't experience with my oldest son (both ASD).
(Already working with a behavioral therapist and integrating a good deal of sensory support into OT both at school and in private therapy).

How do u know if your child needs ABA?

My grandson is getting in trouble at school because he’s pushing or biting other kids. We’ve had many conversations, but he always gets easily frustrated and reacts this way. How do we help him?

My son has developed new behavior problems on top of the usual ones we have. He just turned four and has now started being rough with others not just himself. I have him in speech, occupational and physical therapy already. Will behavioral therapy help the behaviors? Or am i just putting him in too much therapy adding that to the mix and he might not do well in the other therapies. My son is 12 yrs. old. He is on the mild spectrum autism. He has been going to school since he's been 2. He's displayed tantrums in the past, but lately they are getting out of hand. My son is extremely violent and aggressive towards other children, but I am really struggling because I don't want him to be isolated and have no contact with other kids. Parents that we used to have play-dates with no longer feel comfortable bringing their children around our home. How do you all deal with that feeling of isolation as a parent, and also the guilt and shame of not feeling able to bring your child around other kids?
