I Have A New One Coming In May And I’m Worried Because My Four Year Old Is So Rough With His Little Sister .

He gets too excited because he loves babies and animals. I’m just worried when the baby comes he will hurt him on accident. Any ideas of how I could teach a very bright but non verbal child. When I say non verbal I mean he says three word sentences but non conservational.

The most important thing, in my opinion, is to see what kind of a reaction he gets when he's rough. Nothing happens for no reason. If he get attention (either positive or negative) when he's too rough, that will actually motivate him to be more rough.

Figure out why he's rough, then you'll have much more information to use to build a solution. Know what I mean?
