Help my ex wont give my son his meds on the weekends or vacation time he has him. so my son goes days without it and comes home more upset and violent with his sisters and me. I have try to talk to his father about making sure that he gets it but got told that he can give it to himself which the doctor says no because of where he is on the spectrum. My son is Re-peating kindergarten. We had moved prior to school finishing april 2013. In his previous school he was getting reevaluated for special ed services because he was not doing as well as they hoped with a 1 on 1 aid. BUT during that process we moved

My son was diagnosed about 8 months ago right before his third birthday. He is in the early intervention pre-school for three hours a day, four days a week. He got a formal medical diagnosis as moderate ASD last week. His Neurologist he needed additional speech therapy and that would help the most. Checked with my Insurance and they will not cover him for speech therapy unless its from a traumatic injury or illness. My son David is a 6 years old very smart boy, he has moderate ASD, we live in Michigan and he goes to ASD class at public school, I was looking for a better school system for him and came across private autism schools in a different states because we do not have such a school in Michigan. Those schools offer small size programs with special education teacher and an ABA therapist in the class to help those kids.

I am looking for a elementary school in San Diego that have good special ed programs for my autistic son. We live in san Diego unified school district boundary. I wonder if it's complicated to enroll for schools in another district for a kid with IEP?

My seven year old is having a lot of trouble in school. He was diagnosed with autism ( aspergers ) last year though we had known he had it since he was two. I am in CA. My son is in kinder (hf asd/adhd). I had an IEP meeting on Thursday & was told IEP is refused since he is near passing grade level & not failing. im really confused, my sons school say hes not autistic because of his dx, i had him evaluated thru a hospital, and they wont evaluate him at school cuz they say pdd is just another term for being cogntively delayed??? idk wat to think nymore, he does hav a rare genetic disorder as well, and i wanted to knw if any1 else out there can relate, when he was alot younger he had stronger symptoms of autism, but over the yrs, hes gotten better. becuz of early intervention. this is all confusing me
