A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am living in Malaysia
The definition of homeschool here is a center setup with small number of students. (Homeschool here may have different definition to most other countries, where it means strictly doing studies in own home).

- Childhood Appraxia of speech (now can say one word or regular word)
- Still doesn't know how to talk or communicate with peers
- not a picky eater.
- doesn't have any… read more

My daughter is 6 and in first grade. She does not read or write. I believe she is dyslexic. She does pretty well in math but is very resistant to doing any school work. She wants someone to do it for her. She struggles with writing. I agree with all of the above. I, too, would try any of the tech apps that will either type what your child is wanting write by speaking to it and/or an app that will read aloud what your child is not… read more

Resources On Parenting Girls With Autism
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm trying to find good resources on parenting girls with autism. I'm father to two girls, 7 & 10. The 7-year-old has an ASD level 1 diagnosis, as well as ADHD. We suspect the 10-year-old has the same but only an ADHD diagnosis so far. I'm looking for books, podcasts, or other resources related to parenting autistic girls. Thanks for any help you can offer!
