Extreme Crotch Pulling Behavior In Kids / Teens With Severe Autism
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

This question is for parents with a daughter or son with Autism on the Severe side. Do any of you have a kid who does this when they are extremely upset ....or maybe they jump up all of the sudden, go to another chair and start whining, crying and screaming? Somehow the thought of seizures crosses my mind, although my daughter doesn't have any of the usual signs of seizures. Sure, it's possible I am missing something. @A MyAutismTeam Member ABA should help her. Ask ABA suggestions on resources for extra help. I know they can really help out even regional center. Setting up a routine and taking her out to release some tension helps too. I know things can get hard but stay positive! Hope everything gets better. ♥️

@A MyAutismTeam Member She haa been out of school since May. She hasn't done much outside of the house over the last 7-8 weeks. We moved from IL to MD in June. She first began doing this at about age 7-8. It went on for a few yrs. After that. She hardly did this at all from ages 12-13. Thanks for the hug. : ) We will definitely keep track of the behavior. She should be getting ABA again soon.

When did this start happening? Is she in school? Who is around your child? Sometimes a sign of these behaviors can lead to something going on outside of home. If you have aba try to address this to them so they can observe this behavior. Write down days it started. Keep her home a couple and observe to see what she does from afar and write it down. I hope she gets better! ♥️
