I'm about to start potty training my 4 year old daughter with the help of her school. I tried in the past but she just wasn't with it. It's all in their timing. But maybe you can try some type of reward system.

It takes ages i know and our OT even said to not focus on potty training just yet otherwise its too much stress for my son, but we have don't this very slowly over what feels like a 2 year period. I've realised that everything in their own time, when they are ready itll happen, all of a sudden it clicked for us and he was like "ok mommy lets go to the bathroom"

Hi there, very new here but just saw your post. My 3 year old literally started potty training 2 weeks ago after me trying for a solid year. It helped that he understood more this time around but i bought a few of thise egg surprise toys...he loves those..they have mini toys inside with sweets and stickers. Placed like 10 in a transparent bag and hung it on the back of the bathroom door where he could see it.. told him he could get one whenever he went, i even let him hold it and get excited about it. After a while he just made yp his mind and went. Once the first one comes its easier cause then they recognise that feeling of needing to go. I tried this strategy in dec last yr and it didnt work but now that he has the language thing down. It was so much easier..adter the first week we didnt need the eggs anymore as he was super chuffed with himself..
