Glasses For A Chewer
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son failed his vision screening at school this year. He says that he has never been able to see far. The eye doctor says he is nearsighted and prescribed glasses. He is an avid chewer. Does anyone have experience with glasses on a chewer?

my daughter has been wearing glasses since she was 3 and is an on and off chewer. One thing she never chews on are her glasses. I use silicone glass straps to keep the glasses in place and this may have helped. I never actually thought about this. It makes taking off the glasses a little cumbersome which maybe the reason.

I am hoping that will be the case, but he has chewed favorite toys then got upset over it.
