What do you encourage for independent play. Be have drawing and puzzles down but can't seem to find anything else she'll take interest in. She's almost 3 and electronics are not an option at this time.
Musicial instruments is a thought. I'd love for her to learn to play something. :)
My MIL told me her chiropractor has a 9 year old patient that is coming for therapy for his autism. She says he was having trouble with wetting his pants during the day and focus and has improved in both areas. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this? Our son has ASD and has trouble with focus.

My son is going to be 9 I am trying to find him a good backpack for school. He has a dedicated device he takes with him to school and now with winter snow coming snowpants are a must. So i am looking for something big enough that is durable and has a pocket for a device. Any suggestions?
I like the backpacks sold at Costco. They have a pocket I put my laptop in.

Now that my twin granddaughters are going to turn 18 in July, every govt program, every doctor, ever therapist, everybody is asking about guardianship and do we have it. Do any of you moms or dads with special needs children work from home? i am looking for a remote job that i can do along with my daughter's busy therapy/school schedule. Finding something that is not 9-5 remote daily seems to be hard. i am able to work some hours just not straight through like being online from 9-5 with no interruptions. We are looking to move closer to my husband's in-laws in the Hamilton, GA area. My son has great support here in our public school district, but finding resources has been difficult as there are long waitlists and even "interest" lists. Does anyone have any experience in the Hamilton, GA area with Autism support in the public schools and how available are out of school resources? Any information would be much appreciated!
