Can A Chiropractor Help My Son With ASD?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My MIL told me her chiropractor has a 9 year old patient that is coming for therapy for his autism. She says he was having trouble with wetting his pants during the day and focus and has improved in both areas. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this? Our son has ASD and has trouble with focus.

Thanks,

Amy

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been experiencing the cold shoulder treatment more often now. My son is a teen, ans it seems to be "too much" for others to be around. He can feel it too.

Would Someone Please Tell Me About Guardianship And How To Get It Done Before An Autistic Child Turns 18?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Now that my twin granddaughters are going to turn 18 in July, every govt program, every doctor, ever therapist, everybody is asking about guardianship and do we have it. It caught us off guard and totally by surprise. Does it involve money and what about those on SSI who have no money but need to file for guardianship? I live in Chicago and if any of you lovely parents know or can direct me or my family to the area where we apply, sign up for, speak to on all things guardianship....I sure would… read more

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Do any of you moms or dads with special needs children work from home? i am looking for a remote job that i can do along with my daughter's busy therapy/school schedule. Finding something that is not 9-5 remote daily seems to be hard. i am able to work some hours just not straight through like being online from 9-5 with no interruptions. This is because marleigh has therapy sessions every day throughout the day so i am trying to find something i can kind of set my own schedule for. I live in NC… read more

Public Schools With Autism Support In Hamilton, GA
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello all,

We are looking to move closer to my husband's in-laws in the Hamilton, GA area. My son has great support here in our public school district, but finding resources has been difficult as there are long waitlists and even "interest" lists. Does anyone have any experience in the Hamilton, GA area with Autism support in the public schools and how available are out of school resources? Any information would be much appreciated!
