Is There Anything A Dentist Can Do With My 3 Year Old Without Having To Put Him In The Hospital Under Anesthesia To Clean And Cap His Teeth?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

We took Landon to the dentist yesterday because I noticed some dark spots on a couple of his bottom teeth. He has only been to the dentist once before when he was 2 and then they just took a quick peek and said everything looked fine. He still doesn't talk so there is no making him understand whats going on and he fights and kicks when we try to give him a haircut much less to let a dentist look in his mouth. They told us yesterday that he would have to go in the hospital under anesthesia to… read more

5yr Old Boy With ASD. We Make Just Too Much To For Medicaid Programs, But Too Poor To Pay For The Amount Of Therapy He Needs. Options?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

His school provides bare minimum with therapy. Our kids (only) were once on Medicaid and it seemed to provide pretty decent therapy throughout the week, however, with a pay bump at my job, and my wife now going back to work, we are just over the threshold for Medicaid. Private therapy is something that I know is worth it but again cannot simply afford it. Meanwhile our son has gone on 25min tangents in his classroom to the point where the teachers are growing intolerant. What are options for us… read more
