What Specific Bedtime Routines Do You Have?

My son has had a hard time being able to fall to sleep most nights for a few yrs, and so we had a consistent short routine that would help. Now he is a little older (and wiser!) and with the pandemic, he seems to need more support getting to bed each night. He has become very rigid about having things “just so” and will get a second wind in the process. (It has led to some very difficult late nights and I get migraines when I dont get enough sleep.) 1. 5:30 pm: Hook up feeding tube and allow formula to digest.

2. 6.45 pm: Undress & get ready for Bath

3. 7.15 pm: Warm Bath with 8-10 drops chamomile.

4. 7:45 pm: Put on Clean Diaper & Onesie

5. 8:00 pm: Quiet time in the bedroom with a book and a bedtime story or quiet chat.

6. 8:30 pm: Goodnight and lights out. With 80’s music playing down low.

7. 9:30 pm: Music goes off

For a long time, my brother went along with the routine outlined in the Blue's Clues song bedtime business. He still does a portion of this.
