Hi friends, can you share experiences of GFCF diet on your kids ? Does it improve speech?
That’s wonderful Information. Can you please suggest any website where I can get dosage information for 3yr old ASD kids esp for fish oil. and multivitamins. Thanks.
My son is 2 1/2, non-verbal, and a bolter.... Anyone have any experience with ASD kids and puppies? I found a Aussie Border collie mix that I want to get and train for our boy. Hoping it will help& at least give him a companion. His siblings are much older.
Thoughts? Sanity check?
My nephew was 3 the first time he met my puppy. They became fast friends and he actually started showing less stress and more calm. When I moved away, they found a similar rescue dog, she was amazing… read more

I would suggest checking to see if any of your local special needs organizations have a dental clinic. I take my 7 year old to a dental office run by a local disabled citizens organization. We've… read more
My son Eli was just diagnosed with ASD. I don't have much info yet, but we will start in home visits next week. Eli is non-verbal, and has serious tantrums in social settings. My question is, what now? What should we be doing while waiting to get started?
I'm just a little overwhelmed with emotions right now
Thanks, in advance
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love this site! It is so nice to feel understood ❤️

My son is about to turn 4 and my wife and I received the official diagnosis this week that he is autistic. I'm sure you all have been in this position, so I will go ahead and ask the "obvious" question: where do I start? Try to find organizations in town to start treatments? Talk to his school to get his IEP updated? I just feel lost and would love some advice on the first steps… read more

My high functioning Aspergers son is 24 years old and a senior at a 4 year college, majoring in Communications. He aspires to work with Transmedia. Other than schedule reminders and dealing with over stimulation during discussions of controversial topics, his biggest problem in college is other people "trolling" him. During the first day of class on 8/26/13, a student stepped out of class and called the police claiming that my son's hand flapping resembled a gun holding gesture and that he… read more
If you didn't speak with the director of the equity office, do that. If you did, I'd take it to the dean responsible for equity.
My son will be in the 11th grade next year and I am considering homeschooling due to some issues with the structure, the teacher's aides, and the sped teacher quitting. After the sped teacher quit, my son was having issues at school with the teacher's aides. I brought my concerns to the principal and special needs coordinator and they apologized and said it was because lack of guidance since there isn't a sped teacher. They are trying their hardest to hire a new teacher. They allowed me to… read more
