Toddler Face Mask Airplane Advice
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son will be 2.5yrs when we fly back to the States this summer. With most airlines requiring face masks for age two and up and not accepting doctors notes for sensory aversions, what are some tips that have helped you get your kids ready for flying. It will be an 8-10 hr flight for us. Any tips appreciated.

My 3 year old niece just started school this month, in the asd class. Her parents were sure she would not wear a mask, but after the first day, she seems to do it happily. She sees her big sister do it, and she gets plenty of praise for wearing it. Try having the whole family wear a mask at home first, so it seems normal. Get a cute one with a picture of something he likes on it.
