My youngest needs a spacer for his upper teeth. There is not enough room in there so the adult teeth are either in the wrong place or have no space to come out. To spare him a future of surgeries and pain, they said a spacer now at 10 would be beneficial for him. My concern is will he be able to tolerate it given the sensory input. I had spacers in before braces and I found them very uncomfortable for a while but I believe the uncomfortable part does pass after a bit of time.

I don't have a direct answer for your question but, I hope someone here has some advice for you. :)
