Hello, we've heard great things about the school districts in Irvine. My 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with moderate ASD. She's been in a special day class in San Leandro, CA and has been in every type of service since she was initially diagnosed (private OT, ABA, Speech and music therapy). What do you encourage for independent play. Be have drawing and puzzles down but can't seem to find anything else she'll take interest in. She's almost 3 and electronics are not an option at this time.

My son is 4. He is constantly moving. Climbing, reaching, snacking, jumping, wandering around… he cannot sit or stand still. Even if he watches tv, he is fidgeting. Are all ASD kids this hyper? He is constantly doing things he shouldn’t be doing. He understands, but does it anyway. I feel like I’m on constant watch

What is a weighted blanket used for?

I have a question...do any of your little ones use weighted vests and if so did yall find a place to try them on and see what they liked or what fit. My little girl has had the worst weekend in a long time which is probably associated to being sick friday and her routine being interupted but her meltdowns were worse than normal and I am thinkin gthat I am ready to try the vests but wanted some info. My three year old did really well at his class last week once he had a weighted vest on for 15 minutes. He is so small, only 2T, and will be 3 in January. Any suggestions?
