I'm new to this and keep seeing ABA. What is it??

Does it make sense to mix ABA with ST and OT, instead of just doing ABA

My 21 month old son was just diagnosed as being on the spectrum last week. He had already been scheduled to receive speech therapy, occupational therapy, and special instruction due to his language delays and sensory issues. Now that he has an autism diagnosis I'm being told he should get 4 hours of ABA a day; 2 at a center and 2 at home, and that will replace all the other therapies. When I first logged onto the site, everybody was speaking in code. I couldn't understand what they were talking about. Try as I might, I couldn't find anything on the site or the Q+A like a glossary. I understand ABA Therapy helps us to identify triggers & antecedents to our child's aggression & tantrum behaviors but does anyone use ABA for teaching them to communicate or other things not related to behavior? When I ask our behaviorist for more help or guidance with Owen she keeps saying that there is nothing more she can do for us but our Neurologist keeps telling us to push for ABA & DTT services to help Owen communicate & with his social skills. If you have used ABA, Listening Therapy, etc., where have you found the most success. Whether that be greater focus, better dexterity, reduced sensory overload, what has proven to be the most beneficial therapy you've employed?

i was wanting recomendation for ibt that are good for my 4 year old son.. any recomendations??

My son has developed new behavior problems on top of the usual ones we have. He just turned four and has now started being rough with others not just himself. I have him in speech, occupational and physical therapy already. Will behavioral therapy help the behaviors? Or am i just putting him in too much therapy adding that to the mix and he might not do well in the other therapies.
