How To Find A Health Insurance For ASD
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Since my daughter was diagnose with ASD in May we realize that our health insurance do not pay anything related with ASD. Since that day we had to pay all the bills from the specialist, and believe me, is not cheap. Can somebody tell me what insurance companies covers ASD -not medicare or social security-. What is your experience with private health insurance? Thank you

Georgia To Texas: Can We Get ABA Though Insurance?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

After 13 months of searching for a job out-of-state with an autism insurance mandate or has ABA therapy through Obamacare, we are moving to Texas. Can we get some form of insurance to cover ABA. I don't know if my employer has small or large group full coverage or if they are self-insured so I assuming self insured as a worst case situation.

Please don't answer if you haven't lived in Texas since they changed the law covering insurance in 2013 because it's not timely for me.

Now, I'm more confused based on what read. I figured I could at least buy insurance from the Obamacare marketplace. Hasn't anyone in Texas tried this?
