So, any how if all my friends at My Autism team could donate one to five dollors the support would be greatly appreciated. Please refer to the information below for a donation. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Can any one share the treatment their child was getting with PPD-NOS non-verbal as a toddler. I am curious to know the treatment other children received with that diagnoses as toddlers.

How Do We Help A 3.5 Year Old With Receptive Language (labeling Items) If We Know He Hears Us, But Is Unable To Process The Words?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

We have hit a wall with ABA and receptive language. My 3.5 year old son has outsmarted our therapists for 9 months, we though he knew labels for common items. We would ask him to hand us an item from a field of 6 items. We figured out that he was memorizing locations or items, or would only get it correct if prompted first. We know he hears the command "Give me...", but is unable to process it. For example we will say "give me sock" and he will say "ock" several times and hand you a spoon… read more

Any Successes In Matching ASD Kids To Create Meaningful Friendships?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all, 9 year old son. Like most, struggles with social interactions and therefore very isolated at school. Others will play with him if he asks or if mom/dad set up a play date....but never been invited to a play date from them or a birthday party. Think its more of the parents honestly being intimidated or being worried of how to handle him (even though it would be fine). Have often though I need to be more aggressive in searching out others like my son in the area that are struggling… read more

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

We toured one ABA clinic, and for full-time (9am-3pm), there's no break for a nap. Is that typical? My little guy is only 3 and accustomed to a nap.

Confused On The Education For My Autistic Son, Integrated Homeschool For Special Needs Or Normal School Education
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am living in Malaysia
The definition of homeschool here is a center setup with small number of students. (Homeschool here may have different definition to most other countries, where it means strictly doing studies in own home).

My son is 7 years old, high functioning autism. Currently placed in nursery (preschool daycare)
- Childhood Appraxia of speech (now can say one word or regular word)
- Still doesn't know how to talk or communicate with peers
- not a picky eater.
- doesn't have any… read more
