Could I Get Some Advice On What I’m Looking For When It Comes To Choosing The Right Speech Therapist For ASD And ADHD Please?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My daughter was born 28 weeks prem. She was diagnosed with ADHD and ASD in November 2023. She’s 5 years old and does present with poor executive functioning skills and has been doing OT for the past 2 years but now we need to start Speech Therapy to assist with her expressive language. Any advice on what sort of speech therapist with specific skills that they have done would help so much! Does DIR floor time and Ayes Sensory Integration assist in helping a kiddie with ASD. Thanks so much 😊

Should My Low To Moderate Autistic 3 Year Old Son Do OT?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

What are thoughts on occupational therapy? Does it have an effect on behaviour? He is already extremely agile. I’m not really entirely sure what OT truly is and how it can help, but I hear amazing things.

Dr. Goldberg
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone worked with/heard of Dr. Goldberg? He is a doctor out in Cali who works with kids with autism and claims autism isnt real but in fact these children are being misdiagnosed and have a virus of the brain. My niece goes to him once a year, takes her blood and does a full CBC to see any elevations in her blood work, he put her on Celexa and Valtrex and my niece has gained so much weight!!! Apparently with her being skinny a yr ago she was apparently "sick" and now she is considered at a… read more

Will Child Be Able To Speak With Intensive ABA Therapy?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 2 yr old girl is diagnosed with autism. She regressed at 18months of age. Her development pediatration recommended to go for early intensive ABA therapy for 30 hrs a week. When I asked her about Speech and OT .She said OT is not required for this kid and speech will come with ABA. She is non verbal but babbles a lot with some meaningless words. Will they really start speaking with ABA therapy?
I was thinking ABA is only for behaviour!!

Should ABA Be PRIORitize? Compare To All Therapies Needed?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

You can say it all depends child's diagnosis in reality we’re all getting the same therapy the problem is what to prioritize. Going crazy with ABA. We have been in ABA for 5 months I do and don’t see any progress. They have 1 AbA therapist / BCBA, / someone else training need regards to my daughter dx severe autism but is it better just to have BCBA full-on training ? What advice can anyone provide???? 😭
