Hello Everyone, My Son Is 13 And Has Autism. Looking For A School And Summer Program For My Son
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm currently living in Washington DC and my son is 13 attends K-12 home school program. I'm willing move and looking hard to find a school in Maryland and a summer program for him. I'm just so afraid to send him to a regular public school. Hes very shy loves drawing, but has no friends. I feel awful about that because he has told me he feels alone. It's been a long road for us finding good schools. I just really need some advice on what to do.

Recreation
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Aside from swimming, I have not been able to identify a recreational activity for my 6yo ASD son who is nonverbal also and had ADHD that makes it challenging for him to learn tasks. No luck with soccer, horse riding, etc. he just runs off. He is not yet water safe, but enjoys being in water. I was just wondering if anyone might have any suggestions?

What Are Your Summer Plans?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son will attend ESY in June. We don’t have any plans except a family reunion. There is a family of ducks in our community swimming pool. 😏 I am already thinking of ways to keep my son busy when ESY ends.

What activities do you have planned for your child/teen/adult?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.
