Sleep Aids For 2 Year Old Epileptic.
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have a toddler who has been prescribed sleep aides? My daughters pedi told us to bring it up to her neuro, but I would like to have some sort of medication list with me when we go to her appointment. She is turning 3 I'm November, and doesn't sleep. She has a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. She's on meds ( Topamax sprinkles ) that are supposed to help, but don't. She is also taking Keppra, that doesn't help either. Her previous neurologist didn't realy care to pay… read more

We've done the aromatherapy with deep tissue massage like both her neuro and therapist suggested to no avail. White noise used to work as a baby, but now it's almost like it causes her pain. The… read more

About Melatonin?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I here people talking ALOT about them using melatonin to help their children sleep. But I've read that it is not approved for use of children by the FDA. Because they are uncertain with the long term use and side effects it has on children
My son lately has been going to bed very very late so I'm just hesitant about the use of melatonin. Not sure what to do or use? As much as I hate the idea of using drugs on him. But hes been so tired in the mornings and even sleeping the whole time at ABA so… read more

Tips Wanted For A Good Portrait Studio Sitting!
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Help! When I bring Maya to a portrait studio it always ends up being so exhausting for me trying to get her to not only sit still for a minute, but to also smile at the camera too. I'm always so desperate for at least 1 pic to turn out. Any tips, besides my one and only trick which is her sitting on my back or stomach while i'm laying on the studio floor (that's the only way I've ever gotten a good pic) Please share your tips with me!

I gave up on studios and read some online tips for picture taking and now I just do it at home where my son is most comfortable

Looking For Psychiatrist In Richmond VA Area
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

We are looking for a psychiatrist to help our 26 year old daughter. She is very high functioning but struggles greatly with anxiety. The smallest decision can totally paralyze her. The psychiatrist she currently sees does not seem to have any suggestions other than to keep upping her medication (she is taking 60mg of fluoxetine daily) but we don't see any improvement with her anxiety levels.

I would love to hear from folks about any psychiatrists they have worked with and really liked. We need… read more
