Anyone in the greater Fort Worth area know of any dance or gymnastics programs for kids with disabilities? My daughter is 12 and would love to try these things but she cannot be in a program that is performance based or skills based. We need something designed for disabled kids that allows them to work at their own ability level. I have yet to find something appropriate.

My son loves sports but we have been unsuccessful participating in mainstream sports. So I was wondering about Special Olympics, and what others experience has been.
Thank you all for your input! I believe that I'm going to look further into Special Olympics for my son.
DD does special needs soccer through the AYSO VIP program. I may also have her try T-ball through the Little League Challenger program next spring.
We recently discovered at my sons new school that he benefits amazingly from deep pressure therapy. It helps him curb meltdowns and focus better. I've seen a few online sites with products but they get pretty expensive. He is 13 and wouldn't like a vest or anything noticeable if he used it in public. We really need to find something to use at home because we are still having many meltdowns there.
Swiming. I have twins with sutism and one is soothed from the pressure of having his body submurged in the swing pool. It's amazing how much this has helped him function.
My grandson was recently diagnosed on the spectrum. He is 7. He is on medication and seeing a counselor. His mom and dad are not together and his dad does not believe there is anything wrong. He thinks he is just spoiled and when my grandson has a meltdown he is just being a brat. How does my daughter get Dad on board with things?
thank you, we could all use the prayers
Thinking my ASD son may also have ADD. Who do I see for diagnosis? School, pediatrician, psychologist, other doctor?
