One of my twin granddaughters would not talk in complete sentences but now 7 years later...she talks and speaks about everything. Doctors used to say she would never talk....but boy were they wrong.
Ok Any family Autsitics ! can y'all give me some insight on how to help my non verbal son talk or tell me why he dosent?
He has therapy but despite therapy only says words now and again...
Any help would be great.

My son will be five next month but he doesn’t understand the concept of age or birthdays. Are there any learning tools or apps that would help him learn about counting/numbers, letters, etc.? I’m trying to enroll him in some kind of structured program and vacillating between ABA therapy, a special ed classroom or general ed pre-school/T-K. Hi there all, we're looking to highlight the experiences of people on the autistic spectrum struggling with public bathrooms. i.e. the sensory overload from air dryers and automatic flushes. Hello. My autistic son turned 7 and I know he’s supposed to start school. The schools in our area do not have enough support/resource for him. He was referred to a private school for autism but he is on the waiting list and 4th in that list. They said realistically it may take 4 years to make it to the top of the list. What do we do in the meantime? If he can’t start school until years later, how will he be at “grade level”? Also, how does grade level and state testing work with children who… read more
