Hi. Anyone in Orange County with adult children? My son is 24 years old now. He's been home full time for over 2 years. No day programs taking those needing 1:1 still. Want to connect with others.

Hello, hope all is well with everyone. I was wondering if anyone here has gone through the process to become the qualified caregiver through IHSS for a child with autism? Also, has anyone qualified for “Protective Supervision" of children with special needs? The americanaadvocacygroup.com, AAG, claims they can assist at every stage of this process. Does anyone know if they are legit?

Connecticut , in Orange County..there are a lot of services in the area.. don’t know why They concentrate in that area.
Our son has in school services. But it was recommended that he has in home services. We know that there is cost to the in home services & insurance usually does not cover. Would SSDI be the right avenue to go & do we need an attorney to get that? We are still in the process of getting him into counseling through the county mental health department. But we really do not know how to proceed with this. Thanks for any suggestions.
