My son was very close to potty trained from age 6-8 but regressed after some medical issues and lost the skills. 2 years ago he would sit on the toilet with the lid closed. In our current apartment, he refuses to get near the toilet and definitely not sit on it. Has anyone had any luck potty training with an older child who has been in pull ups a long time?

My son has almost no interest in potty training. We finally got to the point where he no longer freaks out when we sit him on the potty, but he's not much of a communicator, so we've made no progress. He is vocal, but most of his speech is just an echo of things he hears. Just needing some guidance because I feel like a failure. Thank you.

Just need tips on potty training for non verbal autistic grand child who is going to be 4 soon. She has a potty seat and a seat in the toilet as well but is scared to sit on the big potty. Not quite sure how to get her to understand and w en if she does how she can tell us I’d she needs to go!
