OUr son is almost 4 and he is in Speech Therapy. He hasnt been officially diagnosed but he is probably on the spectrum, he talks and can communicate fine, (alot of achalasia). He can feed himself but is extremely picky! And has social issues. HE throws fit when his schedule is changed. And he will fixate on things. What is your experience with Nutrient therapy? We are planning to take nutrient therapy for our son with Dr. Mensah. How long it takes to see initial results and what is the overall experience?
Yes, I was searching for the treatments and stumbled here on Mensah. @A MyAutismTeam Member is giving good guidance to me and so many others.
Does anyone have any experience with montessori schools with an ASD child? Pros/cons? The diagnosing therapist said he didn't recommend it due to the lack of structure but I've been told by others it may be a good option. My son is 4 and we are looking ahead to the next school year.
We had bad luck with a Montessori, primarily because they did not have any knowledge about autism and did not want to learn. As a private school they did not have a mandate to accommodate… read more

Has anyone dealt with their child flushing foreign objects down their toilets (e.g., toys, string, etc.)? We're trying to figure out what the fascination is, but more importantly, how to stop the behavior! TIA.
Dealing with it for many years. Hate to say it, but there is not a magic solution. We usually resort to locking the bathroom - even then he finds a key. Turning off water, disabling the flusher etc… read more
For everyone that has a young child w autism and then had another baby, how did your child react and do w the new baby? Would you say it had a positive effect on the child or difficult for a bit? Also how hard was it to deal w your child's issues on top of the care of a new baby?
