This question is more than that for Florida residents? Which goals or progress you found in your state? I am been looking and comparing which state have or have better options to help my ASD boy. I am looking, schools, speech, doctors (Vision, dentist, ect) I am searching autism specialist that could help me or guide me with my teenager son.
I always like to remind people that it is not just services and schools you should be looking for medical care is important to. I recommend finding the best states for services and then look up the… read more
I would really love to try this for my daughter. Her behavior is getting worse and worse. She does great at school and in aba, but at home it's a different story. I would love info on how to start a diet like this for her. She is EXTREMELEY picky with food. She only eats chicken nuggets, peanut butter, bananas and apples occasionally. We have tried everything to get her to eat better foods but she will literally go without eating if she can't have her preferred foods. Any advice??
We were willing to do anything. It is working for us. It took about a few weeks but we have the hang of it now. It's super easy, and yes expensive but what isnt? She has been gluten free now for 6… read more
Spaghetti, pizza, Mac and cheese, cereal and crackers is pretty much all I can get him to eat! Which sounds like it'd be fattening but he's not gaining anything. I supplement with pediasure and drinks like V8 with fruit and veggies. Any tips or things that has helped you would be greatly appreciated. TIA
Our son has the same problem. We started making smoothies with lots of fruit and we sneak in a veggie or 2. We also put Omega 3 fatty acids in there and will put yogurt in that has the probiotics in… read more
Yep, night terrors are no fun!
After being disappointed with my Dan Doctor, one of the moms that I met at OT therapy suggested that we try the "Whole Family Wellness center", she said that they actually looked to the child, and considered his situation specifically, and didn't just give a general supplements and suggested the GFCF diet, regardless of his symptoms. Any one else tried them? Recommend them?
Thanks
@A MyAutismTeam Member thank you. A question for you.. from the tests you did to your son, was it clear what kind of diet he needs. . Or was it trial and error?
My son has mild ASD, we have him on ABA, OT and Speech therapy. He has been developing really well in the last 7 months since we started. I was told to get a Developmental Pediatrician, and a search on the net came out with these two names recommended in the Area. After being highly disappointed with the DAN doctor we went to, I'd like to have a doctor to follow my son's development and hopefully shed some light on what else can be done.
So if anyone can recommend these two doctors or others in… read more

How do you get poop off walls?
I have scrubbed with soap and water (it's a latex white wall killz I think) bleach spray, soaking, baby wipes (they are suppose to have poop dissolving chemicals in it) and nothing works
My child is 6 and smears her feces into things.. sheets (do you know how to get stains out of sheets?), walls, carpeting, apolstry, toys, pillows. I have removed all carpeting and mop every other day with bleach.
