My son always have problem with sleeping ever since he was a baby. He has been taking melatonin for 2 years 10 mg but for almost 2 weeks now it hasn't been working. Any suggestions guys of how to help me? I am a mother of a 2.5 year old beautiful princess. We have started the process of evaluations... The initial 1hr review said they didn't feel to further proceed with ADOS. However, OT did dx with SPD and she does have PT delays. We are still waiting on the ST eval. They are recommending ABA therapy (not covered by ins for SPD) along with OT, PT (and most likely ST) therapies. I am currently at a loss as to proceed with the $750 ADOS which if dx would cover her ABA therapy ($1k/mo)...IDK… read more

My daughter is college age but has had so many health issues since adoption at 1, PTSD, epilepsy, brain surgery, ADHD, anxiety and more so Aspergers symptoms were masked until now. What are advantages and disadvantages for her life in terms of diagnosis now in terms of jobs, college possibilities, discrimination etc.

That does sound like it is specific to your provider. We also have community outings. Our ABA therapist spends as much time out of the office for visits than in the office.
