Please, if there is any other parents who have gone in the direction of group home and have made some headway with it, let me know. I'm struggling so bad. My son has been away for maybe 6 months now. I don't even know. I need other points of reference to get perspective.

We have her home on the weekends and extra days on holidays, other than that she lives at a home minutes away from the school. The homes are run by the school
I am looking for three things.
One, is parents with children of adult children on the spectrum
Two, other grandparents with very high functioning ASD children.
Three, other elderly adults on the spectrum.

It means their problems aren't very severe. They can usually grow up to take care of themselves and marry etc. They may have quirks.. like social issues or quiet or smart etc.
My daughter apparently does not have a physical disability based on their criteria of a "physical disability". My child is on a spectrum that sure involves some limitations that affect her physically .

My son has been diagnosed with autism for years. He has always gone to the same daycare and haven't been told about any issues with his behavior. Except last week we received a letter stating if your child does the following we have a 3 occurrence policy. 1-we will talk to you, 2-we will talk to you and ask u to take your child home to work on/fix their behavior and be excused from the center for a period of time, 3-we will ask you to leave the center. We are considering a move to the LA area and are looking specifically at living in South Bay -- Palos Verdes or Torrance. Does anyone have experience with the PV School District with an Aspie teen? How were the middle or high schools? What about schools in Torrance? If public schools didn't work, which private schools in the West LA or South Bay areas would you recommend for grades 7 and up. ok we are looking for a tablet or something that's autism safe and proff... meaning wont break if my boys have a melt down and drop it or any thing like that... we are looking for two. for our four old child with autism and his little brother who is two and little one might have asd also......

We have had a android tablet die very quickly with a small crack. However our ipads seem to last and work even if cracked. We are smarter about the cases now, so not all of the ipads are broken
