My 2 year old has been in therapy since just about a year old. I know early intervention is key, but we have not seen much improvement in terms of eating. He is delayed speech and in OT as well as feeding therapy. He has NO interest in food. Any suggestions? My son also does not have much interest in toys. How do you build a kids interest? Nothing has worked. Thanks . Hope someone else has been through this.

My two and a half year old has progressively gotten worse with self harm in the last three weeks. He is not getting mad or having meltdowns but just hitting, biting, and pinching himself when given a "no" or a redirection. My 21 month old son has a lot of fits, never seems happy or satisfied. He has a severe speech delay along with several obsessive behavior problems such as stimming will running along objects, and he takes anything he can hold in his hand like cars, shapes, puzzle pieces and turns them in circles over and over. Hello... We are on day two of clonidine ... He takes half a tablet twice a day... Morning and evening... Noticed that he is very tired after morning dose and actually fell asleep in the car while running errands today ( unheard of for him) has anyone else experienced this? Does the sleepiness pass as his body adjusts to the meds? Please share.

Does anyone have any experience with Gwinnett county schools? We are trying to leave Dekalb county and are interested in a property that is in the Trip Elementary School district. I just wanted to see if anyone has good or bad experiences to share about the school system.

My son is 22 yrs and has issues with almost everything, it seems. He has also been occasionally aggressive to himself and others in the recent past, but almost always directed at himself. He's not a happy camper and has gained a lot of weight, partly because of meds. He's a big guy and I'm a small gal, so sometimes it can be scary. My 15yr old ASD son will be getting braces and have a palet widening procedure done soon, due to a narrow palet and his inability to take in enough calories in a day. He is on 2 prescription, high calorie shakes a day, plus whatever we can get him to eat. He's 15yrs. 5 foot tall and only weighs 67 pounds. I'm worried he'll lose more weight.

Has anyone had experience with this with their ASD child? How did it go? Any suggestions on how to keep him eating once the devices are in place?

Dr says cut it for less dosage. I read the paperwork, it says do not cut?

Also, anyone have good or bad experiences with patch?

We are moving to AZ and would like to hear from anyone with information regarding school quality in any of the following places: Surprise, Peoria, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert. I have no problem finding information about school ratings in general but finding anything about what is out there for those on the spectrum is proving to be a challenge.
