A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Our son started a new school last week and met a very sweet young lady that has become quite sweet on him very quickly. She is sending the googly eyes and little hints that he is oblivious to and today asked him to go with her to the homecoming dance. When we talk about it with him, he believes that we are teasing but we juat want to make sure he understands what is going on. Any advice?

Parenting An Adult
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Have I given… read more

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 3 year old son was recently diagnosed with ASD. He was enrolled in a developmental preschool. I cannot find a therapist who is familiar with ABA therapy nor do I know what other types of therapy may help him. I am also looking for a daycare provider for after preschool that is equiped to handle his special needs. Every avenue that I have called has either placed him on a waitlist or routed me in circles to someone else. I feel lost and do not know how to help my son. Any suggestions you… read more

My 12-year Old With HFA And Anxiety Has Been Becoming Extremely Sad, Depressed And Tearful Almost Every Afternoon. Any Ideas/suggestions?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

He is waking up more at night. He is also having stomach issues and not eating as much.

I have tried addressing every possible reason I can think of, (meds, lack of structure in the summer, upcoming transition to middle school) but it is still happening.
