Have Any Of You Put Information About Your Kids In Your Car In Case Of An Emergency? What Information Did You Provide?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I want to include information about what his anxieties are, picture, what meds he takes, etc. What have you included? I know it's a long shot, but in the chance that we are in an accident and my husband or I are not coherent enough to give the pertinent information about my children, I want emergency professionals to be able to help my son the best they can. Did you also provide the information to the police station? How about other family members? Thanks :)

Make sure you label whatever info you use as I.C.E. (in case of emergency. I have a sticker on the back of my son's booster seat with his info. On each side in plain site I have a sticker that says "I.C.E. on back" I also have a packet of info for us in the glove compartment. On the visor, I put a sticker that says "I.C.E. in glovebox". I was told that most emergency personel now know to look for those three letters.

Yes. I did it for all of us, and put it in a binder. I just put names, DOB, medications, allergies and conditions, with autism in call caps and bold letters, lol. I also included emergency numbers and each of our doctors numbers. Also, The Lakeside Collection sells medical id bracelets with usb plugs in them for 15$. (getting one for our son)

I.C.E. Also has an app for smartphones. I have that assuming they will look for my cell phone first for contacts. I have it on the front face of my phone when you unlock it. Everything you need to list is there.

Thank you for asking this question. I did not think about putting information in my car.

I would also provide the child with a medical alert bracelet. They make some pretty cool ones now. Lauren's Hope has them :-)
