I highly recommend the NNY Autism Center in Black River, NY (near Watertown). They are familiar with both DAN! and NIDS protocol and you may be able to get some insurance reimbursement. If you have an allergic, viral or immune dysfuction kid, this is the place to check out. It is run by a nurse practitioner who trained with Dr. Goldberg. I'm not from NY but they are helping me and my doctor. If you have a GI kid, Dr. Krigsman is the expert and I believe he is also in the NY area. He is a well-known DAN! doc and researcher and probably the best in the country for that. Another less expensive option is to find an osteopath or integrative physician who is willing to learn and is in your insurance plan. You will also need to have your child on GFCF diet before seeing some of these doctors. I hope you can come out to Chicago around Memorial Day for the AutismOne conference where you will learn a lot and become familiar with many biomed practitioners.

hi melneda, i used dr freedenfeld in stockton, he helped me a lot, but after 6 years, its a lot of money, i do recommend the Dan protocol, it helped my son in changing his diet, and do all the tests to detect heavy metals and other things in his body.

No my son speaks very little. But he is very healthy and the treatment made him better in all areas I think you should try. I did not like dr new brander but I have friends that did. It's very personal. You should try the dan protocol anyway
