And it also depends on the medication. Some take several weeks; others very quickly.

My son is on adderal. Im sure my spelling isnt right. Lol. He had taken it for a year. Worked wonders for him . He is adhd also. This med allow him to learn to talk and beable to control his behavior and just blend in a little better.

Really fast. He responded well with no problems. Took a few weeks for his moods to balance out. But all in all I t has helped him a ton!

In our experience, anywhere from 2-6 weeks, and then you're never sure if the child has just matured or if it's the medicines helping. We work really closely with a psychiatrist (every 6 weeks) and he helps us with expectations and side effects. Hope you have someone that can explain the med.s to your satisfaction. :)
