New Probable Diagnosis

My son has been seeing a DAN doctor that I work for since last August after talking and seeing similarities with my 2 year old. Last week he went to a pedicatric psychologist and was prelinary diagnosed with regulatory dysfunction, probable sensory integration dysfunction, expressive language delay, Emerging characteristics of ASD fetal alcohol and drug exposure effects (he was adopted) GI issues affecting developing neurology and resulting in chronic infalmmation of various systems. I live in Iowa and he is currently working with AEA but they are re-assessing to see if he still qualifies. AEA has an autism team and she feels that he is a normal 2 year old

You are not insane. I would look into all available early interventions programs for ASD. Is there a pre school available within your school district? Where do you live?? My son is 8, also adopted, and was diagnosed at 6 with ASD.
